Seton Medical Center Williamson
Seton Medical Center Williamson is located in Round Rock, which is south of the new townhomes in Georgetown. It is a faith-based hospital with a deep commitment to providing community services. To facilitate this goal, the center has a van that travels around the county and provides diagnostic screenings and education to area residents. In-house services include a pediatric unit and a women’s center with maternity rooms and a nursery. The center provides educational classes to expecting parents. Other specialty areas include cardiology, rehabilitative and respiratory therapy, endoscopy, and a full surgical staff. Seton Medical Center offers patients the option of undergoing robotic surgery in cases where it may prove useful. In this type of surgery, a doctor controls the robot’s “hands” and this provides more precision, less pain and scarring and a faster recovery time than traditional surgery. It’s currently used in some gynecology, urology and cardiothoracic cases. The residents of the new townhomes in Georgetown are fortunate to live close enough to be able to take advantage of this new technology.
